Printing
Introduction
Here at the University of South Wales (Pontypridd & Cardiff) we offer a chargeable student printing system called SSAA. This is created automatically as part of your Student IT account. Once you have credited your account, you can print from PCs in any student PC lab or in the LRCs based in each campus.
All computer labs have access to a black and white A4 printer and in central locations colour and A3 output.
Adding Credit to My SSAA Account
You can add credit in 2 ways to your SSAA account.
Through our online shop.
The shop can be found within the Self Service Account Admin website, or in the Quick Links section of GlamLife. Alternatively, you can go straight to the shop from this page. When buying print credit from the online shop there is a minimum purchase of £5.00.
Print credit kiosk
Using a Print credit kiosk located in each of our Learning Resource Centres, here you can use cash (coins & notes) to purchase credit.
How do I print?
Watch this short film for guidance on how to print.
Current Printing charges are below:
| Printer | Cost |
| Monochrome (black and white) A4 | 4p per sheet |
| Colour A4 | 15p per sheet |
| Monochrome (black and white) A3 | 8p per sheet |
| Colour A3 | 30p per sheet |
Possible Problems
If the printout is faint or crumpled:
Following the How to…guide above please re-send your work to the appropriate print queue (steps one to three). Do NOT do step four onwards.
We will be able to re-print the work free of charge. You must supply the faulty print-outs for this to be done. Go to the Helpdesk in J1, the Treforest LRC or the ATRiuM LRC and we will re-print the work.
Please tell us which printer is faulty so it can be repaired quickly.
Please note that the IS Customer Support can only re-print jobs; we cannot re-credit your account.
